Call For Collaborators
We are seeking aligned collaborators who want to be included as the founding members of a touring, performing arts group, and help co-create transformational experiences, combining deep medicine music, ritual dance, mystical poetry, and powerful visual imagery.
Our Mission
Journey of the Mystics is a vehicle of transformation that serves to expand, illuminate, and enrich the human spirit through the power of performing arts and community outreach. This program is an offering from The Dharmakam Project whose mission is to build a global sense of connected community, striving for togetherness and inclusion.
Our goal is to bring a broad spectrum of cross-cultural music and dance performances to a global audience. For our debut program, we are focusing on the musical traditions, artistic styles and cultures of Persia, the Middle East, the Caucasus, Anatolia, and Northern Africa.
Performing Arts Group
Female Vocalist/Instrumentalist
Instruments may include violin, setar, tar, percussion,
or similar
Lead Dancer/Choreographer
with 1-5 additional dancers
Male Vocalist/Instrumentalist
Instruments may include duduk, ney, kemenche, percussion or similar
Multi-instrumentalist - Percussion
Percussion instruments may include tombak, daf, frame drum, djembe, etc.
Multi-instrumentalist - Strings
Instruments may include oud, bazouki, mandocello, cello, violin, setar, tar, or similar
Multi-instrumentalist - Keys
Composer, arranger, orchestrator, ideally with film scoring experience
Mystic Poetry Reciter
Male & Female- fluent in Farsi, Arabic, Hindi &/or Urdu (may be pre-recorded)
Creative Production Team
VJ - Visual Projection Designer
Creating concept and execution for visual projection mapping
Audio Engineer
To mix and record live performances
Art Director
Oversees staging design, lighting, costuming, projection design/execution
Videographer & Editor
To capture and edit live performances and interviews, as well as create music videos and other video content elements for the website and social media channels.
Stage Manager
Oversees gear setup, scheduling, breakdown of all performance based assets. Assists Production Manager with technical rider.
